Back by Popular Demand!!!

Things are slow here in the office so I thought I'd post this while I had the initative to do so. It has some to my attention that many people depend on this site for their very wellbeing, so I must not neglect my responsibilities in the future.

I'm not entirely too sure what to post up here, as not much is going on except for the LAN party which starts today. Sweden will be playing either Finland or Russia depending on the outcome of today's game for the gold medal.

I'm listening to a really candid interview with Bill Gates on Channel9 which is quite interesting. If you've never heard of Channel9, it's a site run by Microsoft developers to trade ideas on software and ideas from actual code to mere theories. If you know anything about programming or not, you can watch the videos on the sire (tons!) and read the discussions of ideas being kicked around on what computers can do. It's very interesting, and very inspiring.

Speaking of which, a new build of Windows Vista was released earlier this week. You can read on what it will look like here. Take a look at the screenshots. There's alot under the hood that will be improved and a bunch of new features, but most of all, it will be pretty...=)

And finally, for your daily dose of Zen...

Che Guevara: Merchandising Machine

All of you with Che t-shirts should read this and realize that in your quest to rebel against "the man", you've all become his tools instead! bwahahah!

Seriously though, everyone should take a look at this great piece in the Washington Post. It's irony like this that really renews my faith in mankind...=)

Updates

I have kept putting off posts until now, but this caught my attention and I had to post it.

"...There should be a limit to press freedom."
-Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey

That was quoted in the Feb 3rd online edition of The Economist, in responce to the cartoon images of Muhammed published in a Danish newspaper.

I don't want to launch into a long tirade here. My message to anyone who's offended. Get over it. It's not like Muhammed is the first one to ever be the butt of a joke. Hell, in any given moment, there's a flag of the U.S. on fire somewhere. Bush regurally gets slandered in our own capital just about every day, and so did every president before him. And if Jesus was ever offended by appearing in a comic strip, well, the boys at Penny Arcade have already damned us to hell...=)

In other news!
The Royal Navy launches the first iPod compatable warship. Nevermind the fact I can't get a Dodge Neon that's iPod compatable, this thing comes with 5in guns, vertical launch systems, and an iPod dock connector. I shit you not.

I have always maintained that Pluto is not a planet. Depending how things work out, it will either lose planet status, or we'll gain a new one. That's cause astronomers have found another body, farther out than Pluto, and actually a bit larger. The debate is on as to wheither or not we'll have a 10th planet. What do you think? Is it a Kuiper Belt object, or planet?
